Tazzarae Spivey-Mooring, Ph. D
Dr.Tazzarae Spivey-Mooring affectionately known as “Dr.Tazz" is a Counselor, Educator, Mentor, Author, Speaker, Group Facilitator, Diversity and Team building Consultant. She earned a Ph.D in psychology at Lehigh University and is a member of the Association of Black Psychologists. She has over 20 years of clinical experience providing mental health services for children, adolescents, families and adults. Dr.Spivey-Mooring is currently employed with the United States Department of Veteran Affairs where she provides psychological services for our nation’s Veterans; additionally she is an Affiliate Faculty member at both Lincoln and North Carolina Central Universities. Her teaching and research interests include women and children’s issues, post-traumatic stress disorder in the African-American community, help-seeking attitudes among persons of color, multicultural counseling competence, higher education mentorship experiences and the impact of social justice issues on the mental health of persons of color. Dr.Tazz is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority, Inc. and she is also a member of the Chester County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She resides in Delaware County, PA with her husband and two beautiful daughters.
